Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:
Welcome to the New Bright School Website!
Thank you for patience and understanding as we prepared the new website. Please note the new web address: www.otbrightschool.org
A very special thanks to Mrs. Chavez, Middle School Literacy Lead, for her hard work and dedication as a Website Administrator to migrating content and technical support during the transition.
We appreciate your support and remain committed to enriching the lives and educational experiences of our “Bright Stars.” Please make note of our updated Mission and Vision Statements below:
Bright Elementary School strives to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of ALL students. At Bright School we strive to create a COLLABORATIVE and INCLUSIVE learning environment, while developing innovative thinkers who understand the past, explore the present, and impact the future equipped with a wealth of knowledge and experiences. We are committed to developing well rounded students prepared to compete and be successful in a global society.
We envision Bright School to be a dynamic and inspiring learning environment that produces enthusiastic and self-directed learners that believe in, and trust in the power of education.
We ask that you continue to support us as we strive for excellence with your children. The current state of our city and the world at large dictates that we promote acceptance and respect of diversity, conflict resolution and self-awareness. At Bright, we will continue to have restorative conversations with students, but more importantly we will hold ALL students accountable to behave respectfully toward ALL at ALL times.
Again, this year our efforts continue to focus on strengthening a school climate that promotes mutual respect, individuality, hard work and lifelong learning for ALL stakeholders. Your support in promoting hard work and lifelong learning will be highly beneficial as we strive for excellence. Encourage your child daily to do his/her best. Schedule a place and time for your child to do homework, check homework, and communicate often with your child’s teacher. You are your child’s first and most important role model. As such, the importance you place on education will greatly influence the importance your child will place on education.
Parents, as always, we want you to be active participants in your child’s education. We are here to work with you and your child to provide a high-quality curriculum and learning experiences. We will keep you informed through the school website, monthly classroom newsletters, out-calling messages, and monthly LSC, BAC, and PAC meetings. Working together is essential to the success of our school.
