Bright brings home 1st place trophy in Merengue Dancing with Class dance-off!

Select 4th and 5th grade students who had been taught various dances from around the world from Ms. Denita of Dancing With Class had the opportunity to compete with other students from many schools at the Chicago Cultural Center on December 13, 2018. Ms. N. Linton was co-teacher for this programs with additional support from Ms. S. Ball. Congratulate our students and check out our trophy outside the main office.

Bright Carnival Math Family Night

On December 5th, Bright hosted Bright Carnival Math Family Night. It was an awesome night of learning, fun, and giveaways. 159 students and family participated in math instruction, games, and prizes. If you missed it; don't fret because we'll be doing it again. So stay tuned for popcorn, cotton candy, math resources, prizes and more.

Bright School Staff has organized afterschool programming for Bright students starting at 3pm Monday through Thursday. The programs vary for Math, Writing, Arts and Crafts, Girl's Talk Book Club, Bright Yoga, Crochet, Sewing & Knitting, Snack Chefs, Fun with Food, Badminton, Video and Digital Art, Anime, and Nail Art. Registration was open for month prior to us starting on Monday, December 3rd. Enrollment has ended. Fall 2018 programs ends in February 2019. The next session restarts in the Spring. Spring 2019 will offer some of the same programs and some different offerings. We will send home registration for Spring 2019 in January-February 2019.

2018-2019 Technology Form

Parents, each student must complete the technology form to be permitted to use technology both in the classroom and the computer lab. This outlines the expectations and responsibility of each student as it pertains to the technology of Bright Elementary School.
